Jovan Hackley is a strategy and communications executive with 20+ years of experience leading brand, marketing, partnerships, and change-management efforts across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, he served as the founding Communications Practice Director for the Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University, where he led communications, program design, data delivery, and events that supported more than 2,000 mayors and city halls and the Public Innovators Network.

 

Today, he serves as an advisor and consultant helping reshape operations and engagement for startups by leveraging his senior leadership experience from Realtor ® associations, Trulia.com, and Grambling State University — where, as Associate Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Chief Marketing Officer, he helped secure $17 million in funding for the first digital library at a Historically Black College or University, and the University’s 2019 participation in the Ivy Park and Adidas private "Homecoming Weekend" events.  

 

Throughout his career, his work has generated more than $5 billion in business impact, and he has delivered 500+ keynotes, training sessions, and workshops to audiences across three continents.
